Alexandre Louis Robert de Girardin (born 16 January 1776 in Paris, died 5 August 1855) is a French general of the Napoleonic era. Son of Cécile Stanilas de Girardin and father of Emile de Girardin press.

Girardin took part in the Napoleonic expeditions, during which he showed great courage. During the 1812 campaign he commanded a light brigade in the 1st Corps of Reserve Cavalry Nansouty. In 1814, he was promoted to the rank of general of the division.

Later, with a distinctly royalist outlook, he supported the Bourbon dynasty. Served at the court of Charles X. After the July Revolution he lived deserted and died on August 5, 1855. Artworks Authoritative control (person):
