Boleslaw Piekarski
Bolesław Piekarski, lit. Boleslovas Piekarskis (born January 12, 1911 in St. Petersburg, died April 19, 1971 in Vilnius) - Lithuanian conductor and teacher.
He studied at a vocational school in St. Petersburg. After 1925 his family went to Panevezys, where in 1933 he graduated from Polish junior high school. In the years 1933-37 he studied biology at Witold Wielki University, concurrently taking up studies at the Kaunas conservatory (1934-42) and conducting music lessons in Polish junior high school. From 1940 to 1942 he taught music and led a choir in Ucania, after the Second World War (1944-49) he performed the same work in Kaunas (in junior highs VIII and III). In 1950 he was involved in the activities of the Lithuanian Conservatory in Kaunas (he conducted his choir and conducted music lectures). In addition, from 1950 to 1971 he conducted the choir at the Juozas Tallata-Kelpša school. Bibliography
