Quadi al Quadat


Quadi al Quadat was called the Islamic world in the 7th century. Chief Justice, who is considered one of the models of the modern office of the Ombudsman (Ombudsman).

According to the tradition, Quadi al Quadat was named by the second caliph Umar (ruled 634-644), who was supposed to walk the streets of the capital in the evening, discussing with the locals and listening to what people were saying. Whenever he heard complaints about inefficiencies and misuse of officials he initiated control and investigation to clarify the rumors and restore the proper functioning of the administration.

The task of the office was to ensure the respect and application of the Islamic justice system by representatives of the government and the Sultan in matters relating to relations between the people and the state and the people among themselves.
