Sergei Judin (doctor)


Sergei Judin (Russian: Сергей Сергеевич Юдин, born October 9, 1891, died July 12, 1954) - Soviet physician, surgeon. In 1931 he became a professor at the Institute for the Advancement of Medicine. In 1933 he was the first to develop a method of collecting blood from people who had died for blood transfusions, and also created a blood bank. In 1944 he became a member of the Academy of Medical Sciences. Judin is the author of the work in the field of surgery for gastric and esophageal surgery.
