Great Cemetery (Wroclaw)


The Grosser Friedhof (Elisabeth Friedhof) is a non-existent Lutheran cemetery in Wrocław today, a necropolis of the distinguished and prominent citizens of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Tombstones circa 1926 The cemetery was founded in 1777 between today's streets: Legnice, Braniborska, Dobra and Trzemeska. From this period came a Baroque chapel cemetery. The people of the city were the chiefs here, so many of the gravestones were representative of the character. The cemetery with tombstones and the historic chapel was dismantled in 1957.
