Janusz Mazurek


Janusz Andrzej Mazurek (born October 25, 1943 in Niemienice) is a Polish politician, self-government official, legal adviser and senator of the second term. Curriculum vitae

In 1966 he completed his law studies at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. In 1968 he joined the PZPR. In 1978 he received his doctorate in law. In the second half of the 60s he was a court apprentice, then worked in the Presidium of the Provincial National Council in the Department of Organization and Legal. Since 1970 he has been associated with UMCS (employed at the Department of Civil Procedure and International Commercial Law). In 1995 he was registered as a legal adviser.

In 1980 he joined Solidarity and was interned during the martial law period from May 4, 1982 to October 15, 1982.

In 1991, on behalf of the union, he became the senator of the second term of office elected in Lublin. From 1998 to 2006 he served as Vice-President of Lublin. In 2006 he successfully applied for a councilor's mandate from the list of Law and Justice and took over in 2007, replacing Grzegorz Czelej, elected to the Senate. Bibliography
