Jil Sander, actually Heidemarie Jiline Sander (born 27 November 1943 in Wesselburen, Dithmarschen district) is a German fashion designer.

Born in a family from Sweden, she grew up near Hamburg. In 1963 Krefeld received the title of fabric design engineer. For two years she also attended the University College in Los Angeles, working as a fashion designer for the German women's magazine Petra. In 1967 Hamburg opened a boutique.
