Voivodeship Communication Company in Wałbrzych
Voivodeship Communication Company in Wałbrzych (WPK Wałbrzych) - one of the Voivodship Transport Enterprises in Poland in the times of the People's Republic of Poland, operating in the territory of the Wałbrzych Region in the years 1976-1991.
WPK was created. On January 1, 1976, on the basis of the existing Municipal Communication Company in Wałbrzych, the District Communication Company (PPK) in Dzierżoniów and the Municipal Transport Department in Świdnica. The company provided transportation services in 10 cities and 30 suburban and rural housing estates that were inhabited by about 400 thousand inhabitants. In 1979, the company was divided and the branches were established in Wałbrzych, Świdnica and Dzierżoniów.
As a result of the WPK Wałbrzych, bus numbering has been standardized (so-called side numbers):
Unlike many WPKs, the numbering of bus lines has not been unified, nor have the bus cities merged. The only exception was line 31 from Wałbrzych to Swidnica.
On 1 January 1991, the Voivodship Transport Company in Wałbrzych ceased to exist. It was divided into three independent companies:
