Alexander Hume-Campbell, 2. hrabia Marchmont

Alexander Hume-Campbell, 2nd Earl of Marchmont (1657 - 1740) was a Scottish aristocrat and British diplomat.

His father was Patrick Hume, 1st Earl of Marchmont. Alexander studied law in Utrecht and became an attorney in 1696.

In the years 1715-1720 the Ambassador of Great Britain in Denmark and the congress of Cambray in 1722. At the Danish Embassy his secretary was Edmund Tigh. In 1724 Hume-Campbell became Lord Polwarth. Bibliography
