Mod revival

Mod Revival - a newfound youth movement launched in 1979 as a result of the fascination of the film "Quadrophenia" and a renewed interest in such bands as The Who, The Small Faces and ska music. Mod revival was the revival of the 1960s fashion movement. Against the backdrop of popular youth, scooters became popular again, and as with traditional mods, they became the obligatory vehicle of every revivalist. During the renaissance many new bands inspired by the works of old subculture of mods emerged, which tinted old melodies into slightly punk sound. The most important of the revival bands is The Jam, as well as The Lambrettas, The Chords, Purple Hearts, and Secret Affair. The Revivalists, like their predecessors, were confessing their street life, not fighting the teddy boys, the punks, or the Harleyers. Often their allies in the battles were skinheads (then not politically engaged). Sophie dressed like their predecessors. They wore suits, ties, Fred Perry or Ben Sherman, various hats, Crombie coats, military parks, denim trousers, martens, chelsea boots, military footwear, sneakers and hosiery. They wore hair most often falling on their ears, but they were shorter and closer to the Skinhead pattern. Currently the revival mod is one of the underground subcultures. Since the 1990s, as a result of the emergence of a new genre of music - brit pop - their popularity worldwide has increased. This is particularly evident in the UK. In Poland, due to the low popularity of scooters, mods represent a small percentage of young people, although their interest in our country is growing.
