Preamplifier space
The larynx (cut) in the sagittal plane. The pre-infarct space (unmarked) is visible between the epiglottis and the Hyoid bone downwards.
The pre-pubescent space is filled with loose adipose tissue. It is not clinically relevant. Malignant neoplasm penetrating this area (mostly by continuity) is sometimes found there after surgical removal of the larynx. This area is an indication for postoperative radiotherapy. Bibliography
