Szczawnica coat of arms

The coat of arms of Szczawnica depicts: on a bicone face a silver diagonal in a slant, in a field the first blue mountain tricuscal with a gold cross on the middle, in the second field blue gold with silver plating.

The coat of arms was adopted by the Resolution of the City Council of Szczawnica No. 277 / XLV / 02 of 2 October 2002.

The previous coat of arms approved by the statute of the city of Szczawnica (resolution No. 52 / XII / 90 of 28 December 1990) presented in the blue field an outline of green mountains, on the background of which the gray rock, which flows through the blue river. To the right of the rock is a white medallion with a red border, in it a symbol of a beating source.

The symbolism of the coat of arms referred to the landscape of Szczawnica (mountains, KotoĊ„ka rock and the Dunajec River flowing there) and the health of the village (medallion with its source). Bibliography
