Federalist Party

Federalist Party, in short, is a federalist political party, founded in 1792 by Alexander Hamilton and existing until the 1920s. The party program assumed strong federal authority and support for the United States Constitution. Most of the supporters were in New England. Among them were Alexander Hamilton, First Secretary of the United States Treasury and John Adams, first vice president and second president of the United States. Political opponents of the Federalist Party were anti-Federals and later the Democratic-Republican Party.
