Great Synagogue in Maków Mazowiecki


Great Synagogue in Maków Mazowiecki - unshakable synagogue located in Maków Mazowiecki at the corner of ul. Zielony Rynek i Buźniczna, in the center of the former Jewish district.

The synagogue was built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. During World War II, destroyed by the Germans, after the end of the war was not rebuilt.

The brick synagogue building was erected on a rectangular plan, in the Byzantine style. She was one of the few synagogues in this style in Poland. In the eastern part was the main prayer room, which entered through the vestibule, which was probably the place where the lady was.
