Bogdan Olteanu
Bogdan Olteanu (born December 29, 1971 in Bucharest) is a Romanian lawyer and politician, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies, 2006-2008 Vice President of the National Bank of Romania. Curriculum vitae
In 1997, he completed his law studies at the University of Bucharest. In the same year he worked in government administration as an advisor in the industry and trade department. In 1998 he started his own law practice and was also a consultant to RATMIL.
In 1991 he joined the National Liberal Party. From 1993 to 1996 he served as general secretary of the Liberal Student Organization. In 2004 and in 2008 elected to the Chamber of Deputies. From December 2004 to March 2006 he was the Delegated Minister of the Government of Călina Popescu-Tăriceanu responsible for contacts with the Parliament. Then, until December 2008, he was president of the lower house of the Romanian Parliament.
In October 2009 appointed deputy chairman of the Romanian central bank. Consequently, he submitted a parliamentary mandate and resigned from membership in PNL. This function was held until August 2016.
