Amtylochiusz


Ampholochus (Амфилохій) (? - 1122), the Orthodox bishop of Vladimir-Volynskyi, the Orthodox (pre-Orthodox) Orthodox. According to the yearbook, he received the episcopal bishop on August 27, 1105, as the second (or third) Orthodox bishop of Vladimir. In 1122, after seventeen years of episcopal ministry, he moved to Kiev-Pieczerska Lavra. According to other sources, he ruled the princes of the quarrels, as a result of which he had to flee and hide in the Kyiv-Pieczerska Lavry. He contributed to the development of the cult of St. Theodosius of Pieczerski. It is celebrated by the Orthodox Church - it is celebrated together with other Volyn saints on October 23 (2331) on the day of the return of the Orthodox Church to the Orthodox Church (1831).
