Battle of Kock (1920)


The Battle of Kock took place on 14-16 August 1920 during the Polish-Bolshevik War in the Warsaw battle.

Fighting at Kock was related to the initial intention of the Polish command to keep the Kocka basin on the northern bank of the Wieprz. On the night of 14-15 August Polish positions at Kock attacked 170 Soviet Infantry Brigades. Under her command, the Polish army left Kock and retreated to the south bank of the Wieprz. As part of the Polish counter-insurgency, commanded by General Andrzej Galic, 21st Mountain Division, after several hours of fighting, Kock recovered in the morning of August 16. Bibliography
