Günter Guillaume (born February 1, 1927, Berlin, died April 10, 1995, Eggersdorf, Schönebeck County) is an East German spy.

Since 1956 he has been active in the Federal Republic of Germany, performing tasks assigned to him. He started his career in the West German SPD (Frankfurt am Main), becoming the secretary of Chancellor Willy Brandt. Detecting a spy in the immediate vicinity of the chancellor was a direct reason for his resignation.

He was sentenced by a court to 13 years in prison, listed in 1981 in exchange for several West German agents arrested by the GDR. Bibliography Authoritative control (person):
