King’s Quest: Quest for the Crown
King's Quest: Quest for the Crown is a computer adventure game originally created in 1984 for IBM PCr as King's Quest. Written by Robert Williams, who was the main designer of all parts of the King's Quest series until the last official release, King's Quest: The Mask of Eternity.
The game was made to order by IBM to promote their newest PC. An AGI interface was created for this purpose, later used by Sierra for many other titles. King Quest turned out to be a commercial success that saved the company from bankruptcy. Story The kingdom of Daventry, ruled by the wise Edward monarch, is in great trouble because his precious magical items - magical mirror, shield and chest - have been stolen. King Edward sends his most gallant knight, Sir Graham, to retrieve them. If he succeeds, he will be the next king.
