Florentyna Golec
Florentyna Paulina Golec, also Goletz (born June 14, 1859 in Stary Chorzów, died February 24, 1953 in Bytom), promoter of Polish culture in Silesia, amateur actress.
She was the daughter of the miner Daniel and Helen from Fritsch's house. Since childhood, he was associated with Polish amateur theatrical ensembles in the Royal Hut, first in the Polish-Catholic Casino, then in the Social Club. She had the opportunity to perform alongside the poet Jan Ligonia and the folklorist Joseph Gallus; Juliusz Ligoń, Jan's father, poet and Polish national activist, was a leading blacksmith.
Florentyna Golec debuted on stage in January 1870 in Karol Munki Żuawi's drama. She also had numerous comedic roles in the repertoire, usually in a duet with Jan Ligon. Her performances include: The more Wincenty Wdowiszewski's or the next phone from the Adolf's Ligonier family contributed to the popularity of the amateur band. The productions of the Circle of Friends were gathered by over 400 spectators, not only from the Royal Steelworks but also from Szopienice, Mysłowice, Piekary Śląskie, Lipin, Laurahuty (Siemianowic). This popularity allowed Polish amateurs to compete effectively with German professional actors.
"On the stage boards, she loved the beauty of Polish and the pride of Polish culture" (R. Hanke). These feelings also accompanied her in later years; In 1884 she married Joseph Gallus and supported her husband in the work of collecting and publishing Polish songs sung in Silesia.
