Synagogue in Subotica

The synagogue in Subotica (Serbian Orthodox Church)

The synagogue was built in 1902 in an Art Nouveau style with elements characteristic of Hungarian art. It was designed by two architects from Budapest: Marcela Komora and Jakob Jakub, who already had projects on other important buildings in the city (eg "Town House"). They have already made use of the ready-made synagogue project in Segedyn, which previously lost to Lipot Baumhorn's project.
