Abramij Łopuchin
Avramij Lopuchin - Russian diplomat living in the 18th century. In 1712 he was a tsar's deputy in Constantinople.
In November 1712, the great vizier of Turkish Ağa Yusuf Pasha received from the Sultan Ahmed III the order of the Russian Deputies; Avramiya Lopuchina and Piotr Andreyevich Tolstoy, together with hostages Peter Shafirov and Sheremetyev, put donkeys and take them to the fortress of the Seven Towers, which equaled the declaration of war to the Russian Tsar Peter I. In order to save the Russians from shame, he gave them instead of asses horses, which ended up for him. tragically because Ahmed III punished him for his insubordination. Bibliography
