Akinori Nakayama (Japanese, 中山 彰 規, Nakayama Akinori, born March 1, 1943 in Aichi Prefecture) is a Japanese gymnast. Multiple Olympic medalist.

At the Games he made his debut in Mexico in 1968, also starring in Munich 4 years later. He won medals on both Olympics (a total of ten). The Japanese at that time dominated sports gymnastics and Nakayama was a strong point of the team. He has won the medal of the World Cup many times.
