Local anesthesia
Local anesthesia, anesthesia, regional anesthesia - a method of blocking acute or chronic pain, which involves the reversal of neural nerve conduction in the nerve endings that supply the surrounding area. Local anesthesia allows for painless surgical, dental and diagnostic procedures without the patient being exposed to severe pain accompanying these procedures. During this procedure, the patient remains conscious (brain function is preserved).
