Boots Randolph, 1997 Homer Louis Randolph III (born 3 June 1927 in Paducah, Kentucky, 3 July 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee) is an American saxophonist known primarily as the Top 40 hit composer of 1963. , The Yakety Sax, used for two decades as the lead in the British comedy series The Benny Hill Show. He collaborated as a session musician with such entertaining stars as Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley. In the 60s and 70s he launched 13 songs that hit the pop charts, including Hey, Mr. Sax Man of 1964, or Temptation of 1967. He owned the Nashville nightclub. He died on July 3, 2007, as a result of disconnection from the ventilator. The artist was in a state of coma in which he collapsed after a stroke a month earlier. Authoritative control (person):
