Erwin Hintze
Erwin Hintze (born December 31, 1876 in Strasbourg, died August 1, 1931 in Wroclaw) is a German art historian and museum painter.
Between 1897 and 1901 he studied art history and archeology at the University of Wroclaw. From October 1, 1901, he was a research worker of the Silesian Museum of Artistic Industry and Antiquities. In 1913 he was appointed professor. In 1926 he became the director of the Castle Museum in Wrocław. From 1929 until his death he was the director of urban museums in Wroclaw. Author of art history. His most eminent work is written with Karl Masner Die deutschen Zinngießer und ihre Marken. (Bd. 1-7, 1927-1931). Bibliography
