George Hay (8th Earl of Kinnoull)


George Henry Hay, 8th Earl Kinnoull (born 1689, died 1758) was a British aristocrat and diplomat. George Henry Hay was in 1713 the East Riding Lords in Yorkshire.

Between 1713 and 1734 he was a British ambassador in Constantinople. His father was Thomas Hay, 7th Earl of Kinnoull (died 1719), and godfather of influential Tory politician Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford and Mortimer, who supported George's diplomatic career. Bibliography
