New Europe Youth


Young Europeans (Jeunes pour l'Europe nouvelle, JEN, Jugendliche für das neue Europa) - French collaboration youth organization during the Second World War.

The organization was founded in May 1941, headed by Marc Augier and Jacques Schweizer. The formation of organizational structures lasted until June 1942. They covered both occupied and non-occupied parts of France. JEN was sponsored by the Collaboration Group led by Alphonse de Châteaubriant. It was organized like a military uniform and its members were uniformed. It also included militias that protected meetings and cadet divisions for children aged 11-14, as well as a female auxiliary unit. At the peak of development in 1943, the organization numbered about 4,000. members. Some of them joined the French Waffen-SS and National Socialist Corps (NSSK). The integration of Europe under German rule was advocated. Bibliography
