Planet Aurelia

Planet Aurelia - a hypothetical example of a world where extraterrestrial life could have evolved. Aurelia was born from the collaboration of television company Blue Wave Productions Ltd. and a group of British and American scientists affiliated with the National Geographic Society. The team used a combination of theories of evolution, climatology and astrobiology to imagine the best location of extraterrestrial life and the best paths of evolution that it could take.

It all took the form of a television program that was broadcast in Poland by the National Geographic channel Live and Die on Another Planet: Aurelia.

The program broadcasted in Polish-language National Geographic was focused on the planet Aurelia - a fictional planet extrasolar, the size of Earth, encircling the red dwarf in our part of the Milky Way. This fictitious world may be similar to the recently discovered real planet outside of the solar system: Gliese 581 c.
