Erich Bederke (born June 3, 1895 in Grönberg, April 19, 1978 in Göttingen) is a German geologist and professor at the University of Wroclaw.

A student of Hans Cloos. Studied at Wroclaw University in 1913, initially from chemistry and physics, but in 1917 he moved to the geological direction of this university. After graduation, he entered the research team of Professor Cloos, exploring the geological structure of the Sudetes, especially the Kłodzko-Złotostoc granite massif. He then focused on the Sudetic Devonian and the Sudetes tectonics. He hypothesized that Caledonian orogene was the most important for the creation of Sudetic Orogene. He also said that the Gneisses of the Owls are older than the caledonids, and that in the Sudetenland, the Variscan orogeny prevails.

In 1931 he was elected director of the Institute of Geology and Palaeontology at the University of Wroclaw, which held the post until the end of the war in 1945. He led to the evacuation of a considerable part of the mineralogical and geological collections before the siege of Wroclaw, helping to save them. Evacuated from Wroclaw in January 1945, went to Göttingen where he became professor of the university.
