Halina Krzyżańska
Halina Krzyżańska from Elertowicz's house (born November 4, 1937 in Warsaw) - Polish athlete.
She has competed in many athletics competitions, but she has achieved the most successes in the 80 m hurdles, hurdles, long jump and pentathlon.
She took part in the European Championships in 1962 in Belgrade, where she reached the semi-finals of the 80 m hurdles, and in the long jump she fell off in elimination.
She was the Polish champion in the pivot in 1964 and the vice-champion in the same competition in 1960 and 1967. She also won the bronze medal of the Polish championship in the pentathlon in 1957 and 1961, in the long jump in 1962 and 1964, in the run for 80 m hurdles in 1962 and 1964 and in the 100 m hurdles in 1968.
In 1962, Poland set a record for 80 m hurdles (10.8 s). In the years 1962-1964 she was a ten-time Polish national team player in inter-state matches.
Life records:
For most of her career she was a LZS Mazovia player. At that time, and after the completion of the sport practicing (in 1973) she worked as a sports instructor, physical education teacher, and then for many years she was the director of the Primary School No. 12 in Pruszków. She retired in 1990. In 1991 she received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for her pedagogical work. Bibliography
