Thermal energy
Thermal energy (also commonly called thermal energy) - a part of the internal energy of the system, which is related to the chaotic motion of the molecules of the system. The measure of thermal energy is temperature. Each form of energy can be transformed into thermal energy, accompanied by an increase in entropy.
Thermal energy is not uniquely defined in thermodynamics.
Thermal energy processing, mainly in electricity, deals with thermal energy. The exchange of energy between systems by the chaotic motion of molecules or atoms is called heat exchange.
It is wrong to equate heat with heat. Heat, like work, is a way of transmitting energy, not a form of energy.
