Zdzisław Szostak
Zdzisław Szostak (born 13 January 1930 in Sosnowiec) - Polish composer and conductor.
In 1954 he graduated from the State Higher School of Music in Katowice, where he studied composition with Bolesław Szabelski and conducting with Artur Malawski. From 1971 to 1987 he was artistic director and conductor at the Łódź Philharmonic, and from 1972 to 2000 he was a teacher of the State Higher School of Music (later Academy of Music) in Łódź, leading to 1995. The symphony orchestra of this university.
Under his baton, recordings of 200 films were made. Wojciech Kilar and Zbigniew Preisner. Sam is the creator of music for 40 productions, including 20 feature films. Selected compositions Film and television music (selection) Bibliography
