An architect, a secret construction superintendent in the Prussian Ministry of War Construction in the 2nd half of the 19th century. With other architects he was involved in the construction of military facilities in Berlin (barracks of the 3rd Regiment of Köpenicker Strasse (1874), Guardsmen in Lichterfelde (1881-1884) and 4th Regiment of Guards at Rathenower Strasse (1891-1893). monumental garrison churches: in Toruń, erected in 1894-1897 and in Grudziądz (1897-1900). His designs indicate that he belonged to architects who used solutions typical of the Berlin Neo-Gothic in the late nineteenth century and, contrary to popular belief, in no specific way to the medieval construction of the Teutonic Order.
