Bronisław Pietruszkiewicz


Bronisław Pietruszkiewicz (born July 1, 1939 in Vilnius, Poland, October 24, 2007) - Polish artist specializing in painting and graphic design.

In 1956 he graduated from Vilnius High School, and in 1960 studied in Szczecin. In the years 1960-1962 he worked as a teacher in secondary schools in Szczecin and Kamień Pomorski. Then he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, studied painting under the supervision of Stanisław Borysowski. He graduated in 1967 and took up a job at the university. In 1976, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with a qualification contract for his post of assistant professor, and in 1990 he became a docent.

He headed the Ikonosphere Department at the Art Institute of the Faculty of Fine Arts at UMK. In the years 1995-1999 he also worked at the Faculty of Artistic Education of the Higher School of Pedagogy in Olsztyn.

His activity was focused on the use of unconventional techniques and materials (collage, asparagus, relief, and oil on canvas) in art. Bibliography
