Ewald Wlotzka


Ewald Wlotzka (born October 14, 1909, died November 12, 1948) is a Nazi criminal, member of the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp and SS-Unterscharführer.

Member of SS from 1931 (ID No: 40471) and NSDAP since 1932. In 1940 he began service in Mauthausen. Initially, Wlotzka, until 1942, was a member of the guard company. Then in 1942 he was transferred to the camp administration and appointed as assistant to the head of the food store. In 1943 he was the head of this magazine and this function was held until the liberation of Mauthausen by American troops. His main duties included distributing food among prisoners. Wlodek had a lot of crimes committed in the camp on his conscience. He participated in executions and abused prisoners at every turn.

Ewald Wlotzka was tried in the twelfth trial of the Mauthausen-Gusen crew in front of the American Military Tribunal in Dachau. He was sentenced to death for hanging. Judgment was made on 12 November 1948 in Landsberg prison. Bibliography
