Georges Renaud


Georges Renaud (born 8 January 1893 in Nancy, died July 28, 1975 in Peille) is a French chess player.

Chess career

In 1923 he won the first individual French championships in Paris. The following year he played in the French team at the Paris Summer Olympics, and in 1927 he represented his country in the first Chess Olympiad, scoring 6 points in 15 games.

Together with Victor Kahn (French master of 1934), he published the L'art de faire mat, devoted to chess tactics in 1947. Bibliography
