Jan Popowicz

Jan Zdzisław Popowicz (born 5 January 1948 in Rzeszów) is a Polish archer, Olympian from Montreal, judge and sports activist. The son of Zdzisław and Stefania (from d. Brewczyńska).

In the years 1961-1991 he belonged to the Resovia sports club. His trainers were Antoni Gromski and Katarzyna Wiśniowska. For 24 years he participated in the Polish Championship (1967-1991).

In 1968 he graduated from the Building Technikum in Rzeszow. He was honored with the title of Sports Champion. the Bronze Medal for Outstanding Sports Achievements and the Bronze Cross of Merit. He has a wife, Halina and daughter Justine (born 1974). He currently lives in Rzeszow. Sport achievements Bibliography
