Lorenzo Bernardo - a Venetian diplomat and official living in the 16th century.

He was a Venetian ambassador in Constantinople from March 1584 to mid-1587 and again in 1592.

In 1591, as Senator of the Republic of Venice, he went to Albania with the arrest warrant of another Venetian ambassador in Turkey, Girolamo Lippomano, who on 26 April 1591 set out from Venice and was accused of treason and sentenced to death in his absence. Bernardo passed the judgment through the sea. At that time, Lippomano traveled to Albania to make notes. When Bernardo arrived, Lippomani, knowing what was going to happen in the country, threw himself into the sea and drowned. Bibliography
