celebration
Celebration (from Latin celebrare - attending, practicing, repeating, glorifying) - in the Catholic religion and also in Orthodoxy worshiping God with ceremonial, solemn, anointing. Hence, the priest who celebrates the service or the procession is called the celebrant. Outside the church, the verb celebrating means celebrating something solemnly, pompously.
From this date, the term celebrated in the twentieth century was used to refer to a celebrity, idol, or well-known person. Bibliography
