Henry Marcus


Henry Marcus Henry Isac Marcus (born 2 May 1866 in Stockholm, d. 30 April 1944) is a Swedish physician, neurologist, cousin of Karl Marcus (1873-1935).

Marcus started his medical studies in 1883 at the Karolinska Institute where he passed medical examinations. In 1896 he was ordained in Solna Hospital (Solna Sjukhem). In 1903 he became a doctor, then became a neuroscientist and in 1920 Karolinska Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. He traveled a lot of foreign scientific journeys where he learned Alzheimer's, Ehrlich, Nonny, Nissel, Kraepelin and Foerster. In 1921 he was awarded the title of professor (prof. Professors namn) and in 1924 he replaced Frithiof Lennmalm as professor of neurology. Selected works Bibliography Authoritative control (person):
