Kazimierz Cwojdziński
Kazimierz Cwojdziński (born January 8, 1878 in Plewiska near Poznań, died August 12, 1948 in Poznan) is a Polish mathematician, professor at the Engineering School in Poznan. Curriculum vitae
He was the son of Leopold (tenant of the estate) and Eve of Thiel. He attended secondary schools of Maria Magdalena and G. Berger, received secondary education at Siemens-Oberrealschule in Charlottenburg, and studied mathematics in Zurich and Berlin. In Berlin, he was also a mathematics teacher in the construction industry. The teacher's work continued in the gymnasium in Poznan; In 1924 he defended his doctorate in mathematics (under the direction of Zdzislaw Krygowski), the title of the dissertation on certain issues in projective geometry. Since 1928 he has taught mathematics at the university. He was a mathematics instructor for secondary schools in the Poznań school district and a head of the local Mathematical Outpatient Department. During the occupation he participated in secret teaching.
Since September 1945 he was a professor of geometry at the Engineering School in Poznan. He was among the first employees of the School of Engineering, who provided funding for the pre-war staff of the State Higher School of Machine Building and Electrical Engineering (the university resumed its activity in February 1945, and would later be transformed into the School of Engineering, later the Poznań University of Technology). He worked in a team of mathematicians under the supervision of Zygmunt Butlewski at the Faculty of Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. In the early post-war years, he also taught classes in mathematics and mathematics at the University of Poznań.
After World War II, the post-war employment was based on scientific achievements in the field of projective geometry. Scientific papers were published, among others. in the "Mathematical News", the Lviv "Museum", the Warsaw "Parametra". He also authored works in German in "Archiv der Mathematik und Physik" (Der Lotpunkt ein neuer merkwürdiger Punkt, Eine neue Definition des Feuerbach'schen Preises, Distanzrelationen zwischen Punkten und Gerben der Ebenen). p>
