Szmer Grahama Steella


Graham Steell murmur - a silent, protomorphic (early / intracranial) silicosis of the pulmonary artery. It occurs with simultaneous presence of pulmonary hypertension and evidence of relative regurgitation of the valve. It is best heard along the upper left bank of the bridge.

- & gt; as a complication of mitral stenosis

- & gt; can be heard on VSD

The murmur was described in detail by the British cardiologist Graham Steell (1851-1942), in whose honor he was named.
