He began his military service in 1807 in the regiment of the Napoleon Guard. Lieutenant from 1808.
Until 1812, with a break for the Austrian campaign of 1809 in Poland, he fought in Spain under French intervention. In 1812 he participated in the expedition to Moscow.
In November 1813, he was honored with the Officer's Cross of the Order of the Legion of Honor for his courage and dexterity in the battle of Hanau (in May he received the bachelor cross); In the same year he was promoted to captain. He visited Montmirail, where he took with him a captive whole battalion of over 400 Germans, losing one of his own soldiers. For this feat Napoleon was appointed chief of the squadron. After returning to Poland in 1815, he entered the Polish Army as a major. In that year he resigned and settled on the field.
After the outbreak of the November Uprising, he returned to service. In the rank of colonel initially commander of the Mobile Guard of the province. Mazowiecki, shortly the commander of the Masurian Regiment. He was in the battle of Ostroleka. Severely wounded in battle, he had to withdraw from service. After the wounds he became the director of the mail.
In the insurrection, he was awarded the Golden Cross of the Virtuti Militari Order in March 1831 and promoted to the rank of brigadier general in August 1831, and after his fall he emigrated. Later he returned to the country.
