Igor Radojicic


Igor Radojičić (born September 13, 1966 in Banja Luce) is a Serb politician, president of the National Assembly of the Serbian Republic since 2006. The provisional president of the Republika Srpska from 1 October 2007 to 28 December 2007. Curriculum vitae Igor Radojičić completed his studies in electrical engineering at Banja Luka University. He then began his postgraduate studies in the same direction at the University of Belgrade. He has authored several books and publications on automatics, biomedicine and chaos theory.

Radojičić was involved in political life in the late 1980s. He was then a member of the Presidium of the Socialist Youth Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1998 he was elected to the National Assembly of the Serbian Republic for the first time. Since 2006 he is the chairman of the chamber. He is also the secretary general of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, a major political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On October 1, 2007, after the sudden death of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Milan Jelic, Radojičić temporarily became his successor. On December 9, 2007, the presidential election was won by Rajko Kuzmanović. He assumed office of the President of the Republic of Serbia on 28 December 2007. Radojičić is married and has two children. She speaks fluent English and French.
