Symbols of the air crescent shaped crescent

CT in the sagittal projection of a 14-year-old girl with acute myeloid leukemia. In the upper right lung there is a change that corresponds to a picture of a fungal infection in the course of Aspergillus infection.

Symptom of the crescent-shaped air ridge - radiological manifestation in X-rays and chest CT images as a crescent-shaped area, permeable to X-rays caused by the presence of circular masses impermeable to radiation in the air-filled lung. Classically caused by spongiform (one of the forms of aspergillosis) in the lungs. It comes to this when Aspergillus colonizes the lung cavity (eg, ruptured).
