Clarence Perry
Clarence Arthur Perry (1872-1944) is an American architect, creator of the Neighborhood Unit Concept, a neighborhood property. Unit size should correspond to the size of primary school capacity. The area of the unit was determined by traffic arteries and local traffic should not cross the transit traffic. Perry emphasized that his concept was imposed by the car.
The "Neighborhood One" concept was published in Housing for the Mechanic Age in 1939.
