Georg Wilhelm von Söhlenthal


Georg Wilhelm von Söhlenthal (born 1698, died 1768) is a baron, a Danish politician.

In the years 1730-1738 he was an influential courtier and adviser to the Danish duke Frederick (then King Frederick V Oldenburg). He was the administrator of Rantzau County in Holstein. In 1749 he became a member of the secret council of the Kingdom of Denmark.

In the years 1739-1768 he managed the town of Barmstedt, where he built a factory, a church and a school. [1]
