John Kemeny


Kemena János (born May 31, 1926, December 26, 1992) is an American graduate student of Hungarian origin, Princeton graduate, best known as co-founder of BASIC (together with Thomas Eugen Kurtz) . Long-year (1970-1981) president of Dartmouth College, who was one of the pioneers of using computerized methods in education and promotes significant changes in educational systems. Kemeny was also chairman of the presidential commission, which investigated the accident at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant in 1979. Authoritative control (person):
