Vladimir Dzandżghawa
Vladimir Nikolaevich Dzhandev (born 19 May 1907 in Gubi, died April 10, 1982 in Tbilisi) is a Georgian general, a hero of the Soviet Union. .
He served in the Soviet Army since 1927. During World War II he participated in the Finnish campaign and Pomeranian operation as commander of the 354th Infantry Division, part of the 65th Army (2nd Front of Belarus). Under his command the division gained a bridgehead over the Narew. During operations in West Pomerania he fought in the Dąbia and Gryfino areas in April 1945 and participated in the Oder push.
After the war, the Minister of the Interior of the Georgian SSR in 1954-1959, deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, member of the Presidency of the Republic of Poland Peacekeepers Committee and the All-Union Party.
